Alison Hayward, Podcast Creator

Alison S. Hayward, MD, MPH completed residency as well as disaster and emergency preparedness fellowship at the University of Massachusetts (UMass), obtaining her Master's in Public Health. Dr. Hayward serves as a faculty member of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She has been overseeing communications for the GEMLR group for over 5 years. She has developed multiple online courses in global health and helps to run several global health and emergency medicine educational social media accounts. In 2017, she was part of a team that received the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine Global Emergency Medicine Academy's award for global health education, for the Practitioner's Guide course. 
 

Jai Singh, Podcast Producer

Jai is a Global Emergency Medicine Intern working on the Literature Review podcast and social media management. He is a Freshman at Brown University and is pursuing a dual degree in Health & Human Biology and Philosophy. Jai serves as Freshman Representative on the AMSA e-board and as Student Liaison on the e-board of the Brown Society of Bioethics and Health Humanities.

 

Prior to Brown, Jai spent three years at UWC ISAK Japan where he interned with a transplant surgeon in the town of Karuizawa. He has also completed two clinical internships at Stanford University School of Medicine.
